...100 Days & Counting

Happy 100th! Today marks the infamous 100th day in a presidency where it is common practice to reflect, remark and reject what the head of state has put into action thus far. Promises are measured against acts, especially during trying times like this the United States is currently in. For the last four months the world has watched as President Obama has tried to deliver on his campaign's platform of "Yes, WE Can!"

So we all know the economy stinks, auto companies are desperate and currently there is yet another reason not to eat pork; but despite it all Americans seem to still be hopeful of the direction President Obama is leading the country. In an AP poll 64 percent of Americans agreed that they were pleased with the commander in chief's performance so far. Further, the approval of the actual direction the country is headed is up 8 percent from two months ago, coming in at 48 percent. While 90 percent of the country feels the economy is an important issue, people seem to be giving the government a chance.

So, people of the poor, poor city of Cleveland, what say you? On this 100th day in office are you still optimistic? President Obama says "yes, we can," but can we? Personally, I'd still like to think we will:

"I'm confident in the future but I'm not content with the present," the president told a town-hall style event in a St. Louis suburb.
